Any stay in Millau necessarily has to include a visit, a crossing or a simple contemplation of this gigantic and remarkable construction that is the Viaduct.
2,046 metres in length and 343 metres high, it forms an important portion of the A75, which links the Causse du Larzac with the Causse Rouge. It took 13 years of planning and 3 years of construction for the bridge to finally be put into service on 16th December 2004.
It cleared Millau of the heavy road traffic it endured before its creation.
To find out more, visit the Aire du Viaduc where an exhibition presents the history of the Viaduct in detail.
Please don’t hesitate to ask us about it at the Hotel des Causses reception desk.
